There are many diseases in which modulating cortisol activity may benefit patients. These include diabetes, obesity, psychotic depression and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as less common disorders such as Cushing’s Syndrome. Corcept’s lead programs are for severe metabolic and psychiatric disorders caused by excess or irregular cortisol activity.

Corcept’s scientific expertise surrounding the regulation of cortisol has led to the discovery of an extensive library of novel compounds that may ultimately address numerous important diseases through the blockade of the cortisol receptor. Corcept’s most advanced pipeline product is Korlym. We completed patient dosing and announced positive top-line results from our Phase 3 study in Cushing’s Syndrome and are conducting a Phase 3 study in psychotic depression.
